Dear Secretaries,
Just to inform you that the London Office will be closed from the 14th June – 29th June 2022 due to annual leave.
In the coming week I will be sending out affiliation papers for the coming season (2022-23). These will need to be completed correctly, with any changes of address, email address and phone numbers. These need to be returned by the end of August 2022.
We are in the process of arranging dates for coaching courses, first-aid courses and safeguarding courses for the new season.
I have been informed by the registrar that 80% of the coaches first-aid certificates have expired. As you are aware these need to renewed every three years. Therefore, your lanyards will not be able to be issued due to out of date certificates.
I would also like every club to have an official judge/referee for the coming season. The only way we can make sure that club shows can go ahead is if we have enough officials to oversee the event. As you aware Tracey Murphy, the officials/appointments secretary is finding it very difficult to cover officials for the amount of shows that are going ahead. This is obviously good news that we have so many shows in the Alliance but we need more officials in order to fulfil these.
Please remember we cannot issue lanyards, cards, dbs, etc. without pre-payment. This season has been extremely difficult regarding this. We will not be able to issue any of these documents without prior payment as it is too difficult to keep account of the payments coming through via the BACS systems. We still accept cheques made out to the London ABA. If you are paying via BACS please ensure you inform the office that you have made a payment .
Natwest – London ABA – sort code : 50-10-29 account no. 20050461
The date for the London AGM will be finalised as soon as the London Council meeting has taken place.
Please could you send me your fixture dates for the coming season 2022/23 starting October 2022.
Thank you for your continued support throughout the year. This has been a difficult season due to the restrictions with COVID etc. but your tolerance has been much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Keith Walters O.B.E.,
London ABA Secretary
